What this site and the app keep

Strattory is made and run by Unseen Media. This page covers the presentation site at strattory.com and the application at app.strattory.com. Last updated 2026.

This website (strattory.com)

The site is static pages served from our own server through Cloudflare. Cloudflare sees the requests as any content network does and may set the cookies it needs to protect the site.

Analytics

• Cloudflare Web Analytics, when enabled, counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
• Hotjar, when enabled, records anonymised sessions (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling) and sets cookies. It only loads after you choose Allow in the banner. Choosing No thanks is remembered in your browser and nothing from Hotjar is loaded. You can change your mind by clearing the site's storage in your browser. The application (app.strattory.com)

• Account. Your name, e-mail address and a salted hash of your password. A session cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days.
• Your writing. Stories, cards, scraps and the images you add are stored on our server and are visible to the other accounts on the same instance.
• Claude assistant. Off by default. If you add an Anthropic API key, it is encrypted at rest and used only for your requests. The text you send to the assistant (the card, its context, and your question) goes to Anthropic under your own key and Anthropic's terms. Nothing is sent when you do not use the assistant.
• Preferences. Theme and light or dark mode are saved on your account and in your browser.
• No trackers. The application itself loads no analytics or third-party scripts.

Export everything at any time from the Export menu (a full backup includes images). To remove an account or a story, contact Unseen Media.
